As with Quest Baits ready prepared boilies, these mixes are highly nutritious and well proven. They're designed to accept your own flavour combinations - none of them contain appetite stimulators, taste enhancers or added flavour of any kind, other than their own natural subtle background tastes.

You'll be able to crumble the finished bait after boiling - they've been designed to produce baits as you prefer your own. However, if you're looking for a harder/tougher bait for throwing stick use Quest Baits recommend you include one of the following - Egg Albumin, Whey Protein Concentrate or Whey Gel. Air drying the baits will also make them much tougher.

Each mix requires 4 large eggs per 16oz (450g) of dry mix and is supplied in either 5kg buckets or bags.

Quest Baits Red Birdy Base Mix

A birdfood base containing the legendary Robin Red that all carp seem to find irresistible. Very versatile in summer or winter, the finished bait is a dark red colour and has that lovely spicy Robin Red back taste. Because of the Robin Red you'll struggle to alter the colour of this one other than make it darker.

Quest Baits Yellow Birdy Base Mix

This is the most versatile mix in the Quest Baits range and based on one Shaun used for years - summer or winter you're safe with this bait. It can be dyed most colours, is very easily digested and will accept all flavours.

It contains a little bit of crunch straight out of the bag, but for a much crunchier bait include the egg shell in the mix. Over to you to come up with that irresistible taste and smell. This has produced an incredible amount of winter carp for many years.

Quest Baits Fishy Base Mix

Based on LT94 low temperature treated fish meal, this mix is the number one choice for many anglers during the warm spring and summer months when the carp can utilise the natural oil content of the fishmeal.

Possible flavour combinations are endless - just because it's fishy doesn't mean you have to stick to fishy flavours. There are many examples of anglers blending fruit flavours with fishmeals to achieve devastating results.
